Jamie McGuckin is a dedicated public servant, military veteran, law enforcement professional, instructor, and armorer with more than three decades of combined military and public safety experience. Above all, Jamie is a devoted husband of more than 20 years to the love of his life and a proud father of two talented and accomplished daughters who remain his greatest source of pride and motivation.

Known for his commitment to excellence, professionalism, and mentorship, Jamie has dedicated his career to training law enforcement officers, emergency responders, and community members in critical life-saving skills, tactical readiness, and public safety practices. His unique combination of military experience, investigative expertise, technical proficiency, and instructional leadership has earned him a reputation as a trusted trainer, leader, and resource within the public safety community.

🇺🇸 18 Years US Army

Honorably served for 18 years developing extensive technical, leadership, and instructional expertise. Executed missions as a Power Generator Mechanic, Heavy Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, and Vehicle Recovery Specialist. Appointed as the unit's Driver Trainer and served as the Unit Weapons Instructor, certifying personnel on tactical weapon safety matrix standards.

⚖️ 15 Years Law Enforcement

Distinguished career spanning over 15 years protecting the public safety sector. Serves as an Advanced C.L.E.E.T. Certified Law Enforcement Officer and is Cross-Commissioned as an Investigator with the Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office, with core field specializations in tactical logistics, emergency medicine, and crisis command.

MATTHEW SUMNER

CO-OWNER | LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSIONAL

Matthew Sumner is the co-owner of Delta Forge Armory and a dedicated law enforcement professional with more than a decade of experience serving communities across Oklahoma. Since entering the public safety field in 2011, Matthew has built a career defined by leadership, resilience, and a commitment to excellence.

He began his career with the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office as a Detention Officer, where he joined the agency's Honor Guard in 2012 and the Special Emergency Response Team (S.E.R.T.) in 2013. In 2015, he transitioned into law enforcement, continuing to develop specialized skills in high-risk operations, crisis response, and public safety.

Throughout his career, Matthew has pursued advanced training and professional development. In 2018, he completed Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training, became a Taser Instructor, and graduated from a Gracie Instructor Program, strengthening his expertise in tactical operations, de-escalation, and defensive tactics instruction. That same year, he joined the Logan County Sheriff's Office, where he was promoted to Lieutenant and Assistant Jail Administrator in 2019. In 2022, he further expanded his instructional qualifications by completing Basic Instructor Development (BID).

Matthew's commitment to professional growth extends to higher education. He graduated from the C.O.P.S. program at OSU-OKC in 2016, earning an Associate's degree, and later completed a Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management and Response in 2019.

In 2019, Matthew faced one of the greatest challenges of his life when he was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer with metastasis to the liver. Over the next several years, he underwent extensive treatment, including major surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, ablation procedures, and other medical interventions. Through determination, faith, and perseverance, he continued moving forward while balancing family and professional responsibilities.

Family remains at the center of Matthew's life. He and his wife, whom he married in 2008, are proud parents to two children. Their family has faced additional challenges with courage and strength, including supporting their youngest child through multiple brain surgeries related to seizures, experiences that have further shaped Matthew's perspective on resilience, perseverance, and service.

Today, Matthew brings his extensive law enforcement background, leadership experience, and hard-earned life lessons to Delta Forge Armory. Guided by the principles of integrity, accountability, and proven performance, he is committed to delivering reliable, precision-driven solutions that customers can trust when it matters most.

2011 Public Safety Career
